LAIR Welcomes Director Leo Pfeifer

LAIR is proud to announce the addition of director Leo Pfeifer to the LAIR collective. Pfeifer’s work blends cinematic storytelling with documentary intimacy, creating human-centered stories that resonate with bold visuals and emotional depth.

His collaborators include The New Yorker, Facebook/Meta, and Nowness, with projects recognized by The Today Show, Billboard, USA Skateboarding, and Mother Jones. Guided by the belief that real life holds the most powerful narratives, Pfeifer crafts work that turns everyday people into unforgettable characters—echoing the words of documentary legend Errol Morris: “I think calling someone a character is a compliment.”

Based in Los Angeles, Pfeifer brings to LAIR a commitment to capturing authenticity with a filmmaker’s eye for striking cinematic detail.

"What I love about Leo’s work is the way he strikes that incredibly difficult balance between something authentically captured and beautifully filmed. He has this ability to draw out real, human moments while giving them cinematic weight,” said Kelly Carson, VP of Business Development at LAIR.

“I’m thrilled to be teaming up with LAIR to tell stories that are visually resonant and deeply human. Their team brings a rare balance of precision and heart, and from our first meeting it was clear we clicked creatively. I can’t wait to see what we’ll create together,” said Leo Pfeifer.
