Brawler Director Adam Wells Showcases New Work for EA Sports, LEGOLAND, and Co-Mal

Brawler’s Award winning director Adam Wells is off to a fast paced and creatively charged 2025, releasing a striking portfolio of recent projects that span live-action, animation, and cutting edge AI generated visuals.

“Wells has proven himself a versatile and imaginative force in the commercial space,” says Caspar von Winterfeldt, owner of Brawler. With campaigns this year for top tier brands including EA Sports, LEGOLAND, Unilever, and Co-Mal, along with a groundbreaking AI film for the Electric Vehicle Expo USA.

Among the highlights:

  • "Ruud to Victory" for EA Sports: Collaborating with WHISPER and football icon Ruud Gullit, Wells directed a high-energy campaign for the eChampions League in Munich. Shot in Amsterdam with production partners Jelier & Schaff, the project fuses sharp dialogue with slick visuals to hype up gamers and fans alike.
  • "Crowd Surfin’" for LEGOLAND Windsor: A clever twist on digital out of home advertising, this TBWA\MCR project saw Wells orchestrate a one day shoot where a custom built rig allowed a young girl and her father to appear crowd surfed by LEGO Minifigures. The playful, energetic spot ran nationwide in multiple formats.
  • "King Malario!" for Co-Mal: Wells brought his love of character driven storytelling to life in this explosive 30 second animated TVC. With creative freedom from the client, he and the team at No. 8 crafted an over the top narrative aimed at raising awareness for anti malaria treatment in a visually unforgettable way.
  • "Electric Love" for ChargeVC: Wells ventured into fully AI generated storytelling, writing, editing, and designing a complete short film in under a week using tools like Midjourney and Runway. Created with Barcelona based KOIKOLLEKTIV, the piece showcases the potential of AI in rapid creative development.

"I'm always chasing the next story that excites me," says Wells. "Whether it's a footballer in a studio, LEGO Minifigures crowd surfing a dad, or building worlds with AI, I want to keep pushing creative boundaries."
